Can't sign in to other blog so just made a new one.
JR and Maria came to Hawaii for a week. Hope they enjoyed themselves. It started off kinda crappy but got a little better. My car decided to go on strike! I had to call a friend to take me to airport to pick them up. The first day they were here we spent most of it at home trying to get a tow truck here to take care of my car. Then we had to find a rental car. We ended up getting a mini van from Enterprise. Seemed like a good deal until we found out it was infested with cockroaches. They were everywhere!!
The Luau. The first time we went we got rained out and they cancelled. Told us we could re-schedule or get our money back. We decided to try a different day. We were so wet. The rain came down fast. They gave us these funky plastic rain covers to wear. I set us up for another Luau.

We went horse back riding at one of the ranches out here. It was a short ride, only an hour. They took us up over the mountain and back down to the area where they filmed the movie 50 First Dates. Pretty ride. JR's horse was named Cowboy. (Perfect) My horse was Ace and Maria's horse was Slick. Could tell these horses did nothing but trail rides because they stayed in a single line. One would stop, they all stopped.
North Shore...Sharks Cove. Put a snorkel on JR and took him out. He was so funny! He was excited about all the different fishes and how big they were. He kept telling me how awesome they were. There are some pretty fish in Sharks Cove.
Took them to Sunset Beach on North Shore where they got a little burnt. Too much time playing in the water. From there we went to Haliewa Beach Park. The water was chilly so Maria and I sat on the beach while JR went and jumped off the big rock. We went to Bellows and played on the boogie boards for awhile. Then we took them to Port Lock and jumped off the rocks there for a bit.
Kenny tried to take the cockroach infested van 4 wheeling. We were driving along by Sandy Beach area and saw a Hawaiian Monk Seal so had to stop. He drove off the side of the road which was a bigger drop off than he thought. Actually thought we were stuck there but he got us out and everything was ok.
We all went fishing to try to catch some small hammerhead sharks. All we caught were puffer-fish. It was still fun.
